Drew Stanley, Staff Reporter
Drew Stanley is a staff reporter. This is her second year with the newspacer. She enjoys writing, baking, and keeping up with current events. She hopes to expand her writing this year by exploring new styles of news writing. She has one Labubu she found in a parking lot. The Labubu is Mrs Schloetter approved. She is an avid reader and loves audio books. She has a darling cat who is a very chonky boy, he has given her writing the stamp of approval. Drew Stanley enjoys boba from monster tea and hates cashews.
Alexa Hogge, Staff Reporter
Alexa Hogge is a junior and has worked as a staff writer for the Newspacer since 2024.
Alexa is the tech representative for the LHS Thespian troupe and has participated in LHS theatre since her freshman year. She is also involved in Model United Nations, Active Minds and National Honor Society.
Outside of school you can find her cozying up with a good book and cup of tea or writing songs to play on her guitar.
Alexa also loves to hang out with her friends, go thrifting and listen to music. Her favorite artists are Hozier, Noah Kahan and Lord Huron.
Shelley Zhuge, Staff Reporter
Shelley Zhuge is a junior and a first year reporter for the Newspacer.
Passionate about writing, they decided to take on a new form of writing, journalism, which to them is very rewarding, having the opportunity to write about others’ stories.
In their spare time, they can usually be found walking their dog Tigger, feeding their cats or binge-watching shows like “Kitchen Nightmares” or “The Great British Baking Show.”They also like to bake cakes and desserts for their friends and family.
They hope to major in Sociology and study at the University of Washington or Northwestern University.
Janelle Wu, Staff Reporter
Janelle Wu, a junior, is in her first year with Newspacer. She enjoys meeting new people and collaborating with them on articles.
Outside of Newspacer, she’s involved with activities like the Model United Nations club, laughing with friends in the hallway, advocating for mental health awareness in the Active Minds club, volunteering in different school activities, and sometimes you can see her in orchestra rehearsal playing the violin.
In her spare time, when there’s no school, Wu loves cozying up and sleeping in, along with playing some video games and baking yummy butter cookies. You could also find her Wu at a boba tea shop with friends.
