Kate Petersen, Staff Reporter
Kate Petersen is a sophomore and a first year staff writer for the Newspacer.
She joined Newspacer to work on her writing skills.
Outside of school, Kate is on the LHS girls soccer and basketball team. In her free time, she likes to walk her dog, cook, paint, hike and hang out with her family and friends.
Kate loves listening to music and going to concerts. She also loves traveling with her family. Over the summer they went to the US Virgin Islands.
Beside Newspacer her favorite classes are Psychology and history.
Terra Troftgruben, Staff Reporter
Terra Troftgruben is a junior and first-year staff writer for The Newspacer.
Although Terra is new to The Newspacer, she’s excited to uncover the opportunities journalism has to offer and contribute to her school community. She enjoys exploring new trends and various aspects of pop culture. Terra is a lover of animals, fashion and Menchies.
Outside of the classroom, you will see Terra participating in golf and lacrosse, watching movies, eating sushi, and playing with my dog. Terra’s love for the outdoors includes going on walks, runs with her dog, and swimming in the lake. Terra is also often volunteering with her mom through the National Charity League.
Sydney Pottmeyer, Staff Reporter
Sydney Pottmeyer is a junior and a first-year staff writer for Newspacer. She enjoys learning more about life at LHS and sharing stories that connect students and the community around her. Sydney values the opportunity to highlight the people and events that make LHS unique and she hopes to inspire others to get involved through her writing.
Outside of Newspacer, she plays lacrosse and enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to music, shopping, travelling, and volunteering for her community. Sydney looks forward to growing as a writer and contributing to Newspacer’s positive impact throughout the year.
