Zootopia is Succeeding in Theaters

New movies are coming out all the time, but not many can touch the hearts of viewers like “Zootopia” did when it first came out in theaters. To the delight of “Zootopia” lovers, the franchise is getting a fresh new sequel. “Zootopia 2” is a highly anticipated movie and a current hot topic; senior Abby Urbanski especially loved watching the first addition and shared her thoughts about the sequel.

Coming out at the end of the autumn season, it’s a great time to snuggle up with your best buds or relish in nostalgia with your folks and enjoy a day of animal mayhem. In this sequel, the Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde duo must work together to crack the case of a reptile appearing in Zootopia and upsetting the ecosystem alongside old friends like the epic Mr.Big and lovable Flash Slothmore.

“The soundtrack was really good, and I really liked the whole storyline around the snake, but it was kind of long,” said senior Memphis Grey. “It was a good movie, I feel like it met my expectations.”

In the movie, Judy and Nick investigate a string of coordinated disruptions threatening Zootopia’s newly expanding districts. As political tensions rise, the duo uncovers a charismatic figure rallying predators and prey separately, forcing them to confront hidden biases while protecting the city they’ve grown to love.

This is Lucas Shambaugh’s first year in the LHS newspaper, and he is ecstatic to share his writing skills with the school. For his junior year, Shambaugh hopes to write about epidemics and catastrophes to bring awareness to his community. He has accumulated years of writing expertise and proficiency to prepare him to enrich the Lakeridge news system Outside of the paper, he is a varsity member on the track and bowling team, and he is persevering through high school with great plans for the future.

Nico Merlo Flores, Staff Reporter

Nico Merlo Flores is a senior writer and illustrator in his first year of Newspaper. He enjoys sports writing and journalism, as well as interviewing students for their unique opinions on different topics. Outside of class, he is the one and only varsity boys soccer team manager, but you can find him in the study honing his artistic skills, thrifting for new fits, and hitting a clean set at the gym. After high school, he hopes to play soccer D1 as well as pursue a degree in Psychiatric Therapy.
