Returning to the stage this spring season, the annual Variety Show spotlighted the assorted talents of numerous students here at LHS. LHS students filled the school’s auditorium seats to watch their peers put on individual and collective musical numbers. The recurring theme of coming of age through their various musical numbers drew attention and brought both the artists and the audience together in a moment of felt unition.
In this annual show, students interested in musical and performing arts have the opportunity to bring their passion and talents to the stage. This year, the Variety Show featured singing and dancing, as well as the school’s performing arts groups, including the jazz ensemble.
The school’s A Cappella Choir featured vocal harmonies and solo performances in the show, allowing the talented singers to display both their individual and group talent. Furthermore, the show showcased dances, including a fun tap dancing number.
“They did a tap dance to ‘Teenage Dirtbag,’ and it was kinda unexpected, but it was super cool and entertaining, I was a big fan of that,” said senior Maddie Dunn.
