The 2026-27 school year is looking at a new group of associated student body members, with the president being junior Collin Cernitz and vice president being junior Cal Hearn. This group of people has plans in store for next year to give LHS the boost it needs.
Along with Hearn and Cernitz, many other students take the place of leadership for ASB next year. These students include secretary Henry Thompson, activities director Meredith Razey, assembly directors Kellen Walker and Ethan Howell, technology director Andrew Kunjummen, philanthropy directors Brooklyn Peake and Eleanor Kuhns, photography director Mo Myers and spirit director Sydney Pottmeyer. The role of ASB is to create a fun atmosphere for students to come to every day.
ASB is also divided into grade levels with the senior class officers Harrison Burley, Ava Hanson and Pablo Spilk. The junior class officers include Lizzy Hendricks, Danyal Khan and Oscar Williams. The sophomore class officers consist of Declan Haffner, Jiya Aneja and Makaila Furman.
Harrison Burley, the senior class officer, has plans to improve LHS.
“We’re gonna try to increase the school spirit a little bit for our last year at Lakeridge and put on a lot more philanthropy events for our senior class philanthropy,” said Burley, junior.
