Walking around the donut, we see many people with cute, funky keychains on their backpacks. From favorite cartoon characters to school merch, K-pop idol merch, to random chicken drumsticks, many students and teachers have their unique keychains to share out.
“My favorite is my Miffy keychain,” said freshman Eriko Carstens. “I got it on a trip when I went to DC.”
Miffy bunny is a fictional character in a series of picture books written by Dutch artist Dick Bruna, and it’s popular among teens with its cute appearance.
“I have a lot of miscellaneous keychains that I’ve been given/collected over the years, my favorite one is the plushy keychain that I have on my backpack,” said senior Alyssa Krieg. “It’s my favorite because it was a birthday gift from my friend Paulina.”
Besides cartoon characters, keychains given by special individuals are very important to people.
“So Shooky represents Suga from BTS, so he’s my favorite member. So that’s my quiet support,” said Teresa Lehto, math teacher. “My 13-year-old actually gave it to me when she went to Miniso. She knows that I like it, so then she gives me all the K-pop items that relate to it.”
K-Pop idol merch is always very popular among LHS, and lots of people have their favorite K-Pop idol keychain on their backpacks.
