As senior year comes to an end, many students are feeling excited about graduation and what’s next, but also a little sad knowing they’re about to say goodbye to friends, teachers, and the memories they’ve made over the past four years.
Senior year at Lakeridge is special, starting with Senior Sunrise, then taking us to homecoming, our last breaks, prom, and Senior Sunset, with many fun memories and events along the way.
With graduation coming up soon, this senior class is taking it all in with these last few moments counting down.
“Graduation felt real when I started seeing my friends and classmates posting their college commitments,” said senior Seraphina Yoh.
A lot of memories come through high school, but senior year feels different because it is the last of the last.
Spring break is a special time for seniors at LHS because it is the last of the last with your group of friends before everyone goes on their adventure.
“I think I’ll remember going to Cabo with my friends over spring break the most,” said senior Ethan Harris.
With high school flying by and being one of the most impactful years on a young teen’s life, there might be some regret or feeling of not stepping out of your comfort zone.
Freshman year being the first year of high school might make it challenging for a student to know what they should do to make the most of high school.
“Challenge myself more. Don’t wait until the last two years of high school to try more rigorous coursework, get into a good routine that works for me. Also, time management is one of the most important skills that I wish my freshman self had more utilization of,” said senior Carmel Raviv.
Graduating high school can be different for everyone leaving a sad mark or an exciting feeling for the next adventure of student’s lives at LHS.
“I wouldn’t say I’m sad to say goodbye, there were a lot of great memories with the Lakeridge community that I will carry with me onto the next chapters of my life,” said senior Drew Weiler.
Senior year will always be a chapter students at LHS will look back on with pride, gratitude, and memories that last a lifetime.
