LHS Lacrosse has been highly successful in Oregon since the sanctioning of Oregon Lacrosse as a sport in 1996, recording 17 (10 for the boys and seven for the girls) Oregon Lacrosse state titles. This includes the boys most recent state championship victory of Jesuit in the 2025 spring season with a final record of 21-1.
On the boys side, there was a large and successful 2025 senior class with 17 graduating seniors, including three All-American defenders.
Going into the 2026 season, the Pacers have had a strong start, with wins over Sunset, Palo Verde (NV) and Bainbridge Island (WA).
As defending state champions the LHS boys lacrosse team will be keen to protect their state title in the coming season.
The boys started spring season practice all the way back in January, practicing all facets of their game on the field, like offense and defense, and off the field, like team bonding and chemistry.
“In the off -season, we like to go up to the field together and shoot around,” said senior Beckett Godfrey. “Sometimes we like
to go to Biscuits and get breakfast after off -season practice.”
Not to mention, the boys team has fielded a young squad for the past two years, with a large number of underclassmen. Senior leadership has prepared the program to be in great hands for years to come.

Coming off a successful last season, LHS girls lacrosse featured eight TRL team selections, five being second team.
“We have been practicing five days a week for four weeks now (in season),” said senior Seraphina Yoh.
This hard work mentality is instilled in them since the first practice by their head coach, and the work has started to pay off as they’ve rolled into the season strong.
LHS girls lacrosse started the season with a dominant performance, playing their first game at Oregon City on March 19th and winning 16-2.
But this success doesn’t come without hard work. The girls have been preparing in some way, shape, or form since the start of last season.
LHS girls lacrosse will come up against a very strong Three Rivers League this upcoming spring season, including Lake Oswego, Clackamas, Oregon City, St. Mary’s, West Linn and Wilsonville.
“The highest competition we are facing will be Grant, West Linn, and Lake Oswego,” said Yoh.
After playing some out of state matches, the Pacers will continue to compete against the best that Oregon lacrosse has to offer. Make sure to cheer Lax on at the boys next home game on April 17 against Summit, and the girls play next home game against Wilsonville on April 16.
