As the winter sports season commences, Pacer basketball is ready to steal the LHS gym for another exciting season.
Pacer boys and girls basketball enter this upcoming winter season following a successful year, where the boys team ranked No. 26, and the girls team ranked No. 34 in 6A rankings.
“I really think we’re gonna be a hard team to beat, and people don’t see that yet,” said junior guard Heath Outcalt. “I’m excited to prove that we aren’t in a rebuilding year like everyone is saying.”
The girls’ basketball team is in a similar spot to the boys’ program, with a young, exciting team ready to enter this year with determination.
“From this summer and fall, we’ve really come together as a team, learned how to play together,” said senior guard Vi French. “ We have a lot of talent, and everyone wants to put full effort and hustle into this season.”
Come out and support our Pacers as girls basketball plays at home against Jesuit on Dec. 19, and the boys play their next home game on Dec. 30 against Lincoln.
