Since 2019, Pop Mart has been producing Labubus as plush doll collectibles. Labubus have now become conversation starters, creative accessories and companions kids love because of their popularity on social media.
“They’re so cute,” said sophomore Annika Ericksson. “I love them and I treasure them forever.”
Labubus have now become a fashion-forward purse charm as well as a social media trend everyone knows about. If you want to be trending, you can find this unique and adorable doll on the Pop Mart app for about $50.

A child’s stuffed animals are major parts of any kid’s early years, shaping kids as they hold and cuddle them for dear life. Stuffies are cute, cuddly and fun, none of which include the demonic traits Labubus possess. Labubus have recently been terrifying the world and the people who buy them. Have you ever taken a look at one? Just looking into their eyes, they look like dolls who will haunt you in your dreams.
Even the opposition, junior Peyton Allen agrees.
“[Labubus] have taken over,” said Allen.
When asked if Labubus are demonic, junior Cash Sattelberger agreed.
“100%, I think they lean more towards demonic rather than government drones,” said Sattelberger.
I love stuffed animals, but I don’t get how Labubus has become so popular. Being so expensive and ugly compared to other stuffed animals I had as a kid doesn’t add up.
