The varsity volleyball team’s season came to an unfortunate end due to losing in the playoffs round. However, they able to beat their two main rivals. The team won against West Linn 3-2 and Lake Oswego 3-2.
The team’s coach, Kami Vermillion, last year’s assistant coach, has made many changes in the team’s practice that have proved effective.
“She’s made a lot of changes to practices and she’s a good motivator,” said junior Abby Urbanski.
Kami has focused on being the team’s motivator, keeping the team confident in their ability to play well.
“Our coach has been super supportive and it ended up working out really well,” said junior Olivia Olsen.
The team’s win against West Linn was a notable one.
“My favorite part of the season was definitely beating West Linn for the first time in six years,” said freshman Kaitie West.
Many of the players have a goal of playing next year and coming back stronger than ever.
