Ecstatic that Lakeridge has exceeded the expectations for state testing scores, assistant Principal Rollin Dickinson is extremely proud of his hardworking Pacers.
Lakeridge is in the top three schools to achieve over 90 percent average on OAKs test scores, along with Riverdale High School and Beaverton School of Science and Technology.
“Students each year come in prepared and skilled, so teachers have the ability to continue expanding on teaching at a higher level,” said Dickinson. He believes that this factor played a major role in achieving high scores.
LHS had about 95 percent of students meet or exceed the standards in reading, 94 percent in math and 93 percent in writing.
“Lakeridge is exceedingly skilled,” said Dickinson.
However, this year the state testing methods are changing as LHS is taking the Smarter Balanced Tests which are based on the Common Core standards.
