With the district trophy behind them, the Pacers are looking to ace the competition at state. The team’s hard work paid off as they are sending four girls and three boys to the state championships on May 22 to 25 at Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District.
Sophomore Brayden Lee and freshman Sean Xiao got fourth for boys doubles, achieving the last qualification spot.
“We’ve had a lot of practices to prepare for state,” said sophomore Brayden Lee. “Like two hours every day. I’m very excited for state because the team is all friends and we have a good time getting team dinners together.”
Lee shows that the Pacer tennis team has a lot of bond with each other which makes the experience all more special and shows more dedication to practicing every day.
The Pacer tennis team has worked hard to achieve their spots in state.
Those who qualified as duos were: Lee and Xiao, seniors Jessica Paulsen and Victoria Babistkaya, and seniors Izzy Smith and Grace Roddan. Cooper Wyngarden also qualified for state in singles.
