Justin Timberlake Concert Review
November 21, 2014

Justin Timberlake brought sexy back to Portland on November 20th for the first time in seven years. Timberlake performed at the sold-out Moda Center for around two hours with only a 10 minute break. He sang an array of songs from the early 2000s to his most recent album, “The 20/20 Experience”. The night was magical. I can only speak for myself, but in my humble opinion, JT has the voice of an angel.
He is truly a triple threat, the man can sing, dance, and act; two of those talents were on the showcase last night. JT’s show was almost non-stop. Most songs had little to no pause in between and Timberlake didn’t stop moving. He interacted with the audience and made himself not larger than life.
Senior Elise Lee is a huge Justin Timberlake fan, who attended the show.
“The concert was great!” said Lee, “He danced the whole time and was really personable with the audience. he’s quite the entertainer.”
Not only do I think that Timberlake sung flawlessly, but the show that he put on matched any fantasy that I could have conjured out. Without an opening act, Justin Timberlake focused the show solely on his performance. I was extremely impressed when his stage began to move and he continued to do a level of dancing I’ve never seen before. The movement of the stage allowed all the of arena to get to see him up close and personal.
Even with his attractiveness reaching an all-time high during his rendition of “Sexy Back”, Timberlake appeals to not just women. I saw many men and boys enjoying the concert as well.
“Justin Timberlake is one of the best live performers I’ve ever seen,” said senior Stephen Powers. “His concert was amazing.”
Timberlake did an excellent job of incorporating songs from all of his albums. My knees went weak when he began singing “My Love”. He held one of the high notes for a solid 10 seconds. I think the only thing wrong with the concert was the absence of some N*SYNC songs. However, I think his interactions with the crowd and the passion that was visible even in the 300s level made up for it.
This was definitely one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Props to Justin Timberlake for not just singing beautifully but also putting on a show that I, and hundreds of other people, will never forget.
