Fall is here and with it comes the Fall Market.
“It’s our own Lakeridge version of a farmer’s market.” LHS Activities Director Mallory Ensing said. Basically, many vendors set up shop every year to collaborate with friends, fundraise for clubs, and sell their own unique products. There are many different vendors, usually around 30, that are selling numerous and unique things said Ensing.
From clothes and baked goods to jewelry and ceramics, you can get it all at the market.
“Younger kids can come, parents can come, LO kids can come,” said Ensing. “Anyone’s welcome.”
The Fall Market is led by LHS students, but is open to the whole community. Not only can attendees get great products for affordable prices, but it’s also a fun way to support your fellow students and friends. With a $20 fee, students can purchase a booth and receive 100% of their hard-earned profits.
Many clubs fundraise. In previous years they have sold baked goods or merch, and it’s a good way to get the word out and have fun doing it. One of these clubs is the Chinese Club, run by Mira Garcia.
“We are selling catered Chinese food along with drinks and miscellaneous items to raise funds for our club,” Garcia said. “I love the Fall Market because I can buy reasonably priced items from my local community and my friends. It’s a great interactive and bonding experience, and I look forward to it every year!”
