This year LHS ASB is hosting the Lakeridge Olympics alongside the Beijing Olympics. This will be a series of games like the Olympics, held at Lakeridge High School and the games are being used to promote school spirit and fundraise for the school.

The opening ceremony is Feb. 24 with events starting on Feb. 25 and carrying through to Feb. 28 and March 1. 

Two teams of five from each class will be representing their grade. You can talk to your class president for participation information. The events being held are tug of war, a 4×100 race, and quidditch. 

“I’ll maybe participate,” said freshman Porter Bayne. “But if I do, I think I’ll be good at quidditch because I can throw the ball hard.”
