Sorry ladies, your hopes and dreams of one day becoming a royal has been shot down once again. Prince Harry, 33, announced his engagement to American actress, Meghan Markle, 36, on November 27th, 2017. In addition, Markle also announced that she will be retiring from acting in pursuit of more humanitarian work alongside her fiance. Although this is Prince Harry’s first wedding,  it will be Markle’s  second. Markle was born and raised in Los Angeles, and graduated from Northwestern University in 2003. Double majoring in theatre and international studies.

Markle has spoken and traveled around the world promoting gender equality and protesting current slavery issues.  She has traveled to Spain, Afghanistan, and India to promote clean water  and issues concerning gender equality. Furthermore, she has worked with the United Nations to speak about Women Empowerment.

The days until the wedding will be spent confirming to the church of England, becoming a British citizen (all while maintaining her US Citizenship), learning the editcite of a royal, and most importantly- planning the wedding of the century.

The couple is planned to traditionally tie the knot on May 19th at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The wedding will host millions of people crowding the streets to congratulate the newly weds.  After the wedding, they will live at Nottingham Cottage in London, on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
