The Roseland Theater
December 13, 2016
Being such a small spot in a big city, you might just get hit with the sweat from the band on stage. I have for sure.
Located in downtown Portland, The Roseland is definitely a thrilling place to go. On Yelp most of the reviews were negative saying that there is lots of drug use and staff hostility.
However, Crystle Lehn, a Lake Oswego resident, said otherwise.
“Everybody is always very courteous and helpful and kind. I’ve never been treated poorly there.”
Purchasing a ticket is very quick and easy. Just go online, pick out what show you want and pay with your credit/debit card. On Nov.11 Lukas Graham will be playing there for $29.95 or $39.95 for a 21+ balcony seat. If you’re going to go, you might want to get your ticket soon. Their maximum capacity is 1,400 people so it will be filling up fast.
The Roseland is home to many famous performers such as Slayer, Bryson Tiller, Snoop Dogg, Prince, and Willie Nelson. They put on 150-180 shows per year.
“My overall experience is 10/10. Every show I see there is packed with excitement and the mix also always sounds great. You can hear every instrument distinctly,” said freshman Ajay Gonzalez.
The Roseland has been open for 34 years, but just recently had their audio systems revised in February of 2015.
If you’re looking for a good night out, the Roseland is the place to go.
