Attend Winter Festivals

Oregon is known for being quirky, and its events certainly live up to this reputation. There are many festivals that one can attend.
On Oct 17, a festival known as the Giant Pumpkin Regatta took place in Tualatin. According the event’s official site, the Pumpkin Regatta involves people racing across a river while in costume.
Lake Oswego has its own special event known as the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts.
This is not the only festival that happens in Oregon around fall and winter.
The Oregon Zoo hosts a light festival on Nov 27. The official webpage says that the festival will include a display of thousands of lights.
On Dec 11, an art event known as Crafty Wonderland occurs at the Convention Center. The official website for Crafty Wonderland says that this event is a way for people to shop for handmade items, and artists can sell their own items.
Lan Su Chinese Garden holds a celebration for the Chinese New Year on Feb 8. Lan Su’s official site lists events that will occur at the celebration that include various dances and performances as well as craft activities.
